10-year-old Margie has been with us since September of last year. When she first arrived at AP, Margie was in pretty bad shape. She was very thin and we weren't sure if she was going to make it. It's difficult to even imagine that now with how far she has come since then. Margie has a TON of personality and is quite the sassy lady, but we love her all the more for it! We can tell that Margie is getting tired of living at the shelter. She has taken it upon herself to look out the front door and try to spot her new family. We are hopeful that they will walk through that door soon.

1 year old Martin would prefer that you view his right side vs. his left. He had a wound on his left side that was pretty nasty when he arrived at our shelter, but it is healing and he is ready for adoption. His fur will grow back in and his left side will soon look as good as his right and he will be one handsome guy!

Oscar has been with us for a while and has had some health issues. He is doing much better now and is allowed to be loose in the cat room. He is very affectionate and especially likes to be petted behind his ears and on his neck. Oscar is also pretty vocal â if you hear a cat meowing, it is most likely him!

Ricky and Toby are two buddies looking for a home. Ricky is roughly 2 1/2 and Toby is roughly 5 years old. These two kitties came to Animal Protectors within two weeks of each other and both tested positive for FIV. They are currently hanging out together in a foster home and ,as you can see, have become good pals. They are two of the four cats we recently acquired that are FIV+. Adopting a pair like Ricky and Toby would make their world complete. Adopt one and the other's adoption fee will be waived. Our vet has told us that cats that have FIV can have the same lifespan as any other cat as long as he is kept inside, away from sick cats and has a low stress home. These cats do not require any special medical care or medicines for the FIV and it can only be transmitted to other cats through mating or deep bite wounds. It cannot be transmitted to humans or any other type of animals. If you would like to consider giving this special team a good home, please call the shelter to set up an appointment to meet them. 724-339-7388. They're waiting!

Domestic Medium Hair
Meet Sundance. This tiny kitten came to us on a cold day in January of this year when a Good Samaritan found her lying by the side of the road with her left front leg completely severed. We whisked her off to the emergency clinic and then into a foster home. She recovered very well and is ready for adoption. She's a bit shy and doesn't like to be picked up, but she runs and plays like any other kitten and absolutely adores the other cats in her foster home. If you have a cat looking for a companion, take a look at our Sundance.

Tia was an inside/outside stray who came to us covered in fleas. She's all cleaned up now and is ready for a new home where she will be strictly an inside cat. No more fleas for this girl! She's as friendly as can be and is waiting for that perfect person to walk through the door and whisk her away to their home.
